Personality: Musashi is a truly kindhearted individual. He is generous, caring, and courageous. He's a pretty easygoing guy, somewhat lazy, and he has a good sense of humor, always trying to cheer up anyone's mood. He can be quite the ladies' man, a charmer, yet always a kind gentleman. He can show loyalty greater than most anyone. He's willing to sacrifice anything for his friends and allies. Although he tries to avoid minor conflicts, when it comes down to serious business, he is a relentless warrior in combat. His will is unwavering, and if he has his mind set on something, not even his body's inability to fight any longer can stop him. He is also highly intelligent, a quick-witted strategist. He is mostly level-headed, but when angered, he becomes fierce. Under this gentle yet fierce man, there is a dark side of him. There are times when his personality is dark, twisted, and merciless, and he enjoys death and destruction with a passion. No one is certain about this mood swing, or what triggers it. However, this does not occur too often.

History:

--- Young Life ---
Musashi was born into the Kagehide family as it was growing in power and fame. Grandson of its founder, Masamune, he was seen as a true progidy at an early age, even more so than his father, Hizashi Kagehide. When he was only 4, his family was slaughtered except for him and his grandfather. He had slain 8 of the attacking ninja that had massacred his family. That is when he discovered his power and mastery of the kekkai genkai of the clan at that early age.

--- Academy Life ---
He entered the Academy at an early age as well, only 5. However, his level of maturity and thinking skills were highly advanced. He excelled with ease. However, depsite the fact that he outshined all of the older students, they didn't resent him -- they admired him. There was something about him that just made it hard to hate him. He was fast becoming a true ninja, faster than most people would believe, faster than some people would accept.

--- Genin Life ---
As fate would have it, Musashi's Genin lifespan was not long, still only 8 years old. He was by far the youngest of his squad. He was appointed to a squad that had graduates of a previous year, who had lost a member. He had done a good number of missions, some above what Genin should do because of his squad's overall potential, and he easily kept up with his sensei throughout every mission, as well as training. When confronted by enemies, they, obviously, went after him, being the youngest and smallest. Every time this happened, he smirked slyly, then handed them their defeat. Their accomplishments qualified them for the Chuunin exams. Throughout the preliminaries, all the way through the final rounds, he fought bravely and without faltering for a second. Shortly after he passed the exams, his grandfather died, leaving him alone, the last of the Kagehide.

--- Chuunin Life ---
As a Chuunin at the mere age of 11, he further served his village. He was appointed as a leader for missions due to his intellect. He and his squad were sent on a simple reconoissance mission. However, one of his teammates was caught in a tough spot, and a group of enemy shinobi were rushing to the scene. He dashed in and gave his ally time to flee as he took on all of them by himself. He defeated them all as his allies completed the mission, resulting in success. Mission after mission, he backed up his team if anything went wrong, yet never took things too far, nor ever caught short. A while later, when he was 13 (though he looked about 16 at this point), he was an excellent teacher at the academy, connecting with the students, because he was so young, especially compared to all the others. They really looked up to him, and they all put forth their best efforts.

--- Special Jounin/Alternative Path Life ---
Despite all odds, his well-deserved promotion to the rank of Special Jounin was granted when he was only 14. He learned and had great skill in many fields, and performed them all. After a while longer, he was granted the honor of becoming a true ninja of the village, achieving the rank of Jounin when he was 16.

Musashi has an affinity to all blade weaponry, thus any his equal in swordplay are few and rare to come by. He can summon his weapons from within his body using his chakra to manifest them into solid blades. He can also manipulate and alter weapons by using his chakra as well, like coating the blade with his chakra, charging his blades with an element, or extending the length and width of a blade.

The true nature of his kekkei genkai is unleashed only when needed. At such time, jet-black chains appear aroudn his body. The transformation begins the moment he shaters the chains, and his muscles and body increase in size as his eyes turn solid white and his body becomes enveloped in shadows. Five Boukyakus form from the shadows surrounding him, and hover vertically in a circle around him, blocking and deflecting both physical and elemental attacks on their own, or by will (like Gaara's sand, just less surface area and more offensive capability). These blades can both protect him, and be used for advanced jutsus of his kekkei genkai. In addition, blade-like protrusions emerge from his body, slicing those who come into contact, and he grows steel armor around his body. This forms as formidable a defense as it is an offense. However, although it can withstand a lot of physical abuse, as well as easily defend against certain elemental jutsu, it has its weaknesses. After using this power, Musashi's chakra and stamina are drained. He cannot use any jutsu, and his strength and speed are severely weakened for some time. Depending on the length of his use, he may become painfully paralyzed after it wears out, leaving him nearly defenseless.

Name: Gobou no Tsurugi: Kokuhyou
(Pentagram of Blades: Damnation)

Description: This jutsu is a last resort, designed to take out his opponents in one final shot. This jutsu requires numerous, lengthy handseals. The five blades surrounding Musashi while using the true power of his kekkei genkai form a five-pointed star in front of him (a pentagram) with him in the center. They glow with an aura of dark purple and black that dissolves as the blades begin glowing white, charging with power. Once fully charged, a pillar of light erupts around him. The area of light then expands, swallowing the surroundings and anyone close. Inside the barrier, thousands of katanas float around the edges, then proceed to impale everything within it. When it dissipates, those unfortunate souls caught within it are seen bleeding to death from a monstrous number of cuts and puncture wounds.
After Effects: When the light receds, the blades dissolve into nothingness, and Musashi's for mreturns to normal, as he falls unconcious. His chakra is completely drained, barely enough to remain alive. His body is severely weakened for a lengthy period of time. If this jutsu failed to kill his opponents, or didn't injure them enough to immobilize them, Musashi is as good as dead.


Weapons:

Boukyaku (Oblivion)
His beloved katana. It is his primary weapon of choice. He can draw it from the palm of his hand. He can also duplicate it himself using chakra to forge the others. Boukyaku is the blade that is automatically duplicated when he uses Issei no Tsurugi: Hateshinai Boukyaku.

Kagenayami (Shadow Anguish)
Musashi's second favorite weapon, he uses it for strong opponents, mowing through environmental obstacles (ie rocks, trees, buildings, etc), and intimidation. He sometimes carries it with him, but occasionally he creates it using a jutsu.

Numerous weapons he has forged himself, and many he has created using his chakra alongside his kekkai genkai.
