History:
This rare breed of mountain dogs is steming from another rather intelligent breed. But this breed died out as the yamadoku were overthrowing their forefather, killing them in hordes. They were also the first dogs to ever speak with humans and making contracts with various clans. All mountain dogs that are intelligent have their roots in this since old seated hig above all other mountain dog clans. They are to say so, the chiefs over all clans and have a harsh way of dealing with their subclans.
The first one who was born as a yamadoku, what means poisoning mountain killed his mother with his fine stings of poison in his hair. He was only the second in birth, so he could never become the leader of the clan. But since he gained through the time more subordinates as even more with this poisonous fur was born and the stings got more and even more poisonous, after six years of wait, he annihilated his fathers clan and made his own. Since then the clan had many rare breeds. Some wandered off, forming new clans and some stayed to serve under the royal family.
Today, there has been a treaty between the near Kirigakure and the yamadoku, as the yamadoku want to stay on the mountain they have since old times lived. Even getting the appreciation and willing into the contract from Kiri as they gain a worthy ally. They have also willed in to take the more intelligent ones of the yamadoku as ninja in their schools and later on as their own ninja, as the are a good combination of scouts and attacker with their poisonous attacks.
Kekkai Genkai: Dokukawa: Or poisonous fur. All yamadoku have the potential to unleash a heavy poisonous attack, they can control how much poison and how deadly or numbing it is. This happens through small needles, disguised in their fur, that grows out of them like that of a porcupine. In normal day´s life, they hide it inside as they can also control where it is and how far it stands out. They can be even stroked and the one who strokes them gets not poisoned as in unused mode, the small stings become like hair, flexible and nimb, bowing to any movement, but when they sense fear, they stretch the needles out and then it is to be looked out. They can also shoot these needles out toward an enemy, turning the needles into death bringing weapons even for strong ninja whe they get hit. With age, the poison get smore refined and the more death potential it get. Also through this, their body gets used to posion and they get immune to poison.
Everyday life: In normal life, all yamadoku are lazy, laying in the sun. Only on the hunting grounds they own, they get serious and then are deadly hunters. They don´t like the near to humans, but can get around them.
