Quiet simple actually. all we would really need is a ryo system. make money, and buy stuff. The Karma idea that was previously used ended up being pritty crappy

Honestly when I saw this thread subject I thought it was like bounty hunter or outlaw missions, but when I clicked the thread and read it I found out you were talking about a money system. Anyways, that other money system was not crappy it was good, but we did not have many things to achieve it. We had to wait until events or doing missions to obtain it. It was good, but we need to improve it. Also, for the missions, if it like consists of more than 1 person, it should be RPed between the two people in the thread. And the one who accepted the mission can be both the bad and the good guy. just a suggestion, sorry for going off topic.

I honestly don't like the money system (or the karma one, whatever) and do not wish to introduce one to the site, again.
The thought of it all... I just don't like it. It's pretty useless - in my mind, at least. People can simply role play... why bothering having to have a complicated money system, when one can just buy the item through a post? Or something of the sort. This isn't one of those online game thing (World of Warcraft?) - whatever they are - it's a role play game. *shrugs*

I recommend Setting up jobs and bounties and such to do. it makes people get money. Then, make them pay to get more characters, or pay a fee to enter the chuunin exams and such.

I've underlined the parts of the quote that I believe need to be reread...I'm also in agreement with Alex, both from experience and from logical view points. This isn't an MMORPG, it's an RP-Forum. What you're suggesting would make the RP more like an RPG; and an RPG is something we don't want. Also, take into consideration that you don't need a money system to have jobs or bounties. Everything can be done IC. And no, it's not supposed to be perfect in IC. RPing involves more than slaying the three-armed ninja from the Hidden Limb village and gaining the 10,000 reward. People would strive for money more than a variety of RP settings...We'd have people RPing the same things (jobs) over and over. Instead of all this, we could just have jobs and bounties intertwined with RPing in general. The RPer has money, but only has so much. As an added bonus..: In an RPG (also refers to your money system), if you're short 50 cents than you're short 50 cents. In an RP, if you're short 50 cents you can...: - Mug a local
- Steal it
- Ask a local
- Ask the kind salesperson for the 50 cents off
- Bribe him or her with shiny things
- Put a kunai to his or her throat and threaten his or her life if they don't give it to you
- Go on a berserk rampage and slaughter the entire district (and get the item you were short 50 cents on)

It wouldn't really be a RPG, because it would just be to get more characters and such. truthfully, that's not something done in RPGs, but RPs with limits on how many characters you can use. Not a character upgrade system or anything.

Please, when making a suggestion, don't use terms like "and such". It's highly confusing since the only two things you want a money system for are the Chuunin exams / possibly other exams (if you were using the Chuunin as an example) and increase the user's character limit.
That being said, it's pointless. The Chuunin Exams already have requirements. Your fee would be covered by all other requirements to participate, and thus makes it useless in this matter.
The character limit is your only current suggestion...and I find it fairly pointless. There is absolutely no reason that I can see as to why we should have such a large system for something so small. Not to mention the fact that the system makes no sense RP-wise, or that it can be easily replaced with a requirements system that would be much more effective (If we decided to have one).

who says the requirements won't change?

You fail to uphold any current argument besides one where you assume that the new requirements will fail in their purpose, and you want to add a new system that would be covered by any non-failing requirements that will be placed on whatever it is you were talking about.
