((OOC: This is a training thread and how it should look like))
Yume had free time, so he took a chance of this time to head over to the training area for some practice. He opened his closet and grabbed his equipment, making sure that they would be easily accessible when he heads over to the area. He grabbed his text books on Academy Jutsu, to study them. He already has had chakra training with his father and thus would be able to concentrate enough to execute these Jutsu. He heard a knock on his door.
Yume... you in here? His mother walked in.
I'm heading out right now He showed her the book that he was going to be using, and then she nodded. She placed her hand on his head and gently rubbed it. Yume didn't really know how to think of affection, for he's never really felt anything from someone showing him affection.
You be careful out there... I don't want you to come back to us, bruised up and cut.
Yume only nodded and stepped out, grabbing a piece of bread on the way out. He casually and slowly walked to the training area, Waving to some of the fellow villagers on the way over there. He opened his book and began reading. He studied carefully the needed handseals to perform each of the three Jutsu. It looked pretty easy to memorize. The description of how to perform each Jutsu also seemed pretty easy. Had it not been for his training with his father, then perhaps this would be a bit more difficult. It really requires Chakra control.
He finally made it to the area where a large post stood in the middle of the field. This was obviously used for target practice. He pulled out his shuriken, and began to toss them, however, failed to hit the target once. He rushed and collected the six shuriken he threw. He returned to his original position. This time, timing his release, he swung with three Shuriken in one hand and released... once again, no hit.
He went over and grabbed his book again. He flipped over to Shuriken basics. When throwing Shuriken, its best to remember that Shuriken are effective when tossed with a flick of the wrist as apposed to launching them with the energy caused by the swing of the arm alone. Getting the Shuriken to spin would give off a better accurate result. Yume put his book down, and stared down at the post. He grabbed three shuriken, he bent his arm across, pulled back his wrist, swung and with a quick flick, released the shuriken. As the book described, the shuriken stayed in their projected path.
"THUD! THUD! THUD!"
They all hit. Not exactly in the same place... but with practice and time, this would be much easier to perform everytime.
---moments later---
Yume pulled out his kunai and began to practice throwing that. The Shuriken and Kunai handles very different. Kunai's can be tossed with a flick, but they are most effective when they are throwing at as a projectile with no spin. Yume read about the Kunai basics. When releasing to throw a kunai, its about when you release your grip on the kunai. Yume did some practice half-speed runs. He went back to his book to make sure he is doing it like it shows in the book.
It was time to try it out for real. He stood ready facing the post. He grabbed his kunai and quickly launched the kunai. It flew straight to the post, however, when he released it, there was a bit of spin and the ring end of the kunai hit the post. Yume rushed to grab the kunai and start again. He swung again, and got the same result. Perhaps there was more to throwing Kunai than it says in the book. He looked over and read carefully. ...about when you let go of your grip... Yume then got an idea. He grabbed his kunai, and this time turned it so that the sharp end would face him. He also placed one finger through the ring. He swung at the same time allowed it to turn to the right direction, he used his finger to let it go, at the same time, stabilizing its spin and letting it fly.
THUD!
A hit! Yume celebrated. He then picked up his book to practice the jutsu. Bunshin No Jutsu... easy...easy. Yume studied the handseal sequence and did them slowly at first, then did them a bit faster each time after. He continued to ready on how to succeed in this jutsu. When performing this jutsu, it is best to concentrate on your chakra, make a mental image of yourself, and concentrate on it, then release your chakra into that image. You can make multiple clones this way, however, they will have no physical body, so this is not an actual clone. It will dispel once the clone is hit.
Yume proceeded with the handseals. He pictured himself, standing next to him, at the same time concentrating on his chakra. It began to fluctuate inside him at the handseals were performed. Yume has to thank his father after this for making it so easy for him. Bunshin No Jutsu! A cloud of smoke appeared! When it vanished soon after, a near perfect clone of himself stood infront of him. There were some flaws to the clone image, but this is excellent for a first try. Practice will only improve this skill.
