This was sent in by one of our new members, I was impressed by the time she put in it and how much she did within her post. She included basically everything that we are looking for in a post.

"Ini Yamanaka! You get here in front of the class right now, young lady!"
The teacher's voice boomed in the academy classroom, as everyone made 'oooh' noises when Ini lifted her head, and smiled. She considered herself a happy person and she didn't understand why talking and laughter interrupted the teacher's long and boring talks. Ini thought it honestly was better for the students; it made the class less boring. The people sitting next to her especially got to have fun in her opinion, as she talked with them the most. Getting in front of the class shouldn't be too hard; everyone likes me anyway. Keeping her smile, Ini stood from her desk, and confidently walked to the front center of the classroom, looking at her teacher.
"Yes?"
Ini forgot her teacher's name, despite that she remembered the teacher repeating it on the first day of schooling. Laughing at the thought, she soon found the whole class laughing with her, much to her confusion. Can they read my mind...? Did they forget her name too...? Ini continued to laugh until she heard a slam right beside her; it seemed like the teacher was angry. Ini turned her head to the much annoyed face of the teacher in which she forgot her name. It wasn't very long until Ini realized that the teacher knew her full name, but yet Ini didn't know hers. Deciding to bring it up, Ini raised her hand while looking in front of everyone; she wasn't nervous. That wouldn't affect when she had so much fun with the friends she always talked with.
"Now, why all of a sudden raise your hand when you were shouting answers a second ago?"
Ini was confused at her teacher's question; she wasn't shouting answers. Actually, she was telling her best friend, Mist, to come over to her house after school. If that was considered an answer, then what was a request? Looking at Mist now, Ini saw her laughing, instead of being concerned that their teacher might be wacko. Why was she laughing? Whose side was Mist on anyway? Unfortunately, knowing her teacher needed to know what her answer was for her question, Ini rose her head and opened her mouth.
"I wasn't shouting answers; what made you think that? I was only telling my best friend, Mist, something,"
Ini answered her teacher with confidence, trying to hide her confusion with what was happening. Why is Mist still laughing...? Why is the whole class laughing...? Why....aren't they sticking up for me? And...I just forgot the question I was going to ask... Ini groaned, much to the disappointment of the teacher, of whom she earned a glare from, but to the enjoyment of the class of which she earned laughs. Ini could only hear Mist's laughs though as she watched her. Of course, at first, the laughs were funny, and Ini was laughing along with them, but after a while of scolding and what she did for the class, she became disappointed. She knew that she would stand up for friends that were in trouble; why didn't her friends do the same for her?
"Don't you dare use that smart mouth with me Miss Yamanaka! You were shouting nonetheless, which is not tolerated in my classroom.....Mist, what punishment do you think should be given to Ini for shouting, using a smart mouth, and disrupting a learning environment?"
Ini widened her eyes; Mist was already laughing at her! Frantically looking at Mist, Ini put her hands in the symbol of pleading. They were friends, and there was still a chance Mist could redeem herself from Ini's suspicion. Come on Mist... Just say I should apologize or something... It was true that Ini was probably the most talkative one in class, but it didn't mean she deserved a punishment. Isn't the world a better place with just one scolding? Ini looked at Mist pleadingly as she watched Mist's mouth slowly open.
"Well, I believe that she deserves to get kicked out of class for the day. If she causes this much trouble, she should be allowed to think on what she did. Of course, she can always redeem herself by doing trash duty or something."
Ini widened her eyes; what did Mist say?! That's not fair!!! I thought she was my best friend, not my worst enemy!!! "No! What's wrong with you, Mist?! I thought we were friends! Do you have any idea how many troubles I saved you out of?!" Ini practically jumped at Mist, but was held back by the teacher, who seemed to smile at the idea. What did I ever do to her?! This isn't fair! Ini tried breaking free, but to no avail, for the teacher was much stronger than her. There were so many things that Ini saved Mist from when it involved saving each other:
"No Father! That wasn't it! I didn't do it!"
"Of course you did, Mist! You're the one who's holding my broken katana!"
"Stop Mr. Hiyatomi! Mist didn't do anything! I accidentally wandered off into the dangerous part of the woods, when a small bear started attacking me and left me a scar! Mist wanted to save me, but the only weapon available was the katana! She ended up saving me, but the final strike of the bear caused the katana to break. If anything, you should blame me for running off! Please don't punish Mist!"
Ini knew she lied when she saved Mist; Mist actually did break it when she tried it out. But since they were friends, Ini felt compelled to save Mist. Unfortunately, Mist wasn't reciprocating in a time where Ini needed it.
"That sounds perfectly fine, Mist; Ini should be allowed to think on what she did, and leave this classroom. Now Miss Yamanaka, please take your leave and come back once you've thought on what you did."
Ini looked at the whole class, glared at Mist, and took her leave teary-eyed. As she reached the front academy doors, Ini ran out toward the huge tree and cried, tears streaming down her face. The Konoha ground felt cool on her legs as she felt the wind, but all that was going through her mind was how Mist betrayed her. Her best friend, who Ini thought she could count on...betrayed her. Ini saw people walk by, ignoring how she was crying, which caused her to cry even more so. There was only ten more minutes until the other students were dismissed, and Ini spent her free ten minutes crying and slamming her fist on the tree. She wasn't thinking on what she did; she was thinking on how unfair the world was and how mean Mist turned out to be. However, it wasn't long until Ini felt an idea enter her mind to make Mist sorry: Right when she saw Mist come out, Ini would charge at her and punch her face. It was only fair that this would be so anyway.
SFX: *Bell sounds*
That's the bell; now's my chance... Ini wiped the tears from her eyes and awaited Mist, her very special best friend. Many students walked out until Mist's head came into view. She saw her talking and laughing with other girls surrounding her. Ini widened her eyes; now Mist was taking her popularity! Causing the adrenaline only to rise within herself, Ini charged at Mist without a second thought and felt her fists hitting Mist's face.
"You witch! You spineless coward! You have no idea how many times I've saved you! You're such a witch!!!" Ini punched Mist's face after every sentence of her statement. She heard Mist cry out in pain after the punches, which caused Ini to throw Mist back. Everyone was crowded around them in shock, causing Mist to fall back into the circle after being thrown back. Ini was going to charge again at Mist, but before she could feel her fists in Mist's face again, she felt herself being thrown back into the tree where she cried. Ini became in a state of shock at the unexpected throw, and felt the pain in herself rise. For when she started looking up, she saw Mist's father in front of her. He was a tall and buff man, and Ini knew she was in trouble since she probably wouldn't get a chance to explain herself.
"I... Mr. Hiyatomi.... It's..." Ini couldn't find the words to explain what she did, for they didn't come to light out of intimidation. She put her head down, and awaited the punishment that followed.
"I never liked you, Ini Yamanaka. I knew you were a liar from the start ever since you decided to make Mist your friend. Mist told me you were her friend, but now that I see this, I know now that I was right. Come along Mist; you don't need a friend like this."
Ini watched as Mist and her father left; she didn't even have the energy to glare at Mist after what happened. Soon, everyone else started leaving as well, leaving Ini the only one at the tree. Not even being able to cry anymore, she curled up her legs and put her head in them, just feeling the old tears dry up. After staying in that same spot for about five minutes, Ini stood up and walked away from the tree. She made her way home; no one approached her, and Mist didn't come over after school. For this day, particularly that event, led to Ini's biggest attitude changes after graduation. That bubbly, talkative girl who had a lot of friends would cease to exist, for even the family members who loved her could not ease the pain of that day.
"Please move..."
Ini didn't even look at the person who happened to be in front of her; she just wanted to go home and sleep. Even though forgetting what happened today would be near impossible, it was better than trying to continue on as it was.
